The Bundu Ecosystem
Bundu is Shona for wilderness. The wilderness holds the hive.
The Bundu Foundation is a Zimbabwe Companies Limited by Guarantee (CLG). Its main activity is research into infrastructure gaps in African and emerging markets — everything else is downstream. Four pillars: Bundu Labs (research), Mukoko (consumer), Nyuchi (commercial), Shamwari AI (community). Plus Foundation initiatives and open-source projects.
Four pillars
One ecosystem. Four pillars. One identity.
Every pillar under Bundu inherits the same identity layer, the same design system, the same engineering doctrine. What differs is the audience and the surface — research (Bundu Labs), consumer (Mukoko), commercial (Nyuchi), community (Shamwari AI).
Bundu Labs
The research pillar — the Foundation's development arm. Research into infrastructure gaps in African and emerging markets, published as open standards, benchmarks, and frameworks, then built into products Nyuchi and Mukoko operate. Builds Nyuchi Gov Tech.
VisitMukoko
The consumer pillar. Africa's privacy-first social super-app — seventeen mini-apps and four substrate components, one identity, one Twin. Operates the MIT and MXT tokens.
VisitNyuchi Africa
The commercial pillar. Frontier infrastructure sold to organisations, consumers, communities, and governments — a growing product portfolio. Operates the NST and NHC tokens.
VisitShamwari AI
The community pillar. African AI companion — the Digital Twin's conversational interface. Bundu IP, implemented across Nyuchi and Mukoko surfaces and sold commercially under Nyuchi.

Foundation initiatives
Beyond the pillars, the Foundation runs initiatives directly.
Initiatives are Foundation-governed efforts that sit alongside the pillars rather than under them — verification and directories, education, and government services.
Zimbabwe Information Platform
A Bundu Foundation initiative. Verification, directories, and travel-and-business information for domestic and international use. Works hand-in-hand with Mukoko Kweli and the wider Nyuchi platform.
VisitBundu Education
The Foundation's education initiative. Nyuchi Learning is its commercial product.
VisitNyuchi Gov Tech
The Foundation's government services initiative. Digital ecosystems for governments across Africa — identity, records, payments, and service-delivery rails sized for sovereign deployments. Built by Bundu Labs; unlike the other initiatives, the programme and its commercial product share one name. First project: Zimpass Arrival.

Four platform tokens
Governed by the Foundation. Run by the pillars.
The Foundation governs all four platform tokens. Two are operated by Mukoko on the consumer side: MIT (identity) and MXT (exchange). Two are operated by Nyuchi as part of the Honeycomb decentralised storage network: NST (storage) and NHC (network).
MIT
Mukoko Identity Token
Soulbound. Non-transferable. Anchored to your date of birth. Three temporal pools (Year 60% / Month 30% / Day 10%) — value rises as the community ages together.
MXT
Mukoko Exchange Token
Transferable. Elastic supply. Powers commerce, peer-to-peer payments, creator rewards, and B2B API fees. Floor price mathematically derived from MIT pools.
NST
Nyuchi Storage Token
Powers the Nyuchi Honeycomb storage network — the decentralised substrate where sovereign Web3 pods live.
NHC
Nyuchi Honeycomb Token
The network token for Honeycomb itself. Beyond Web3, post-quantum ready, in active development.
